Confirming your booking
Attention to the following 6 points will ensure that you’re included on the manifest and prepared for the day!
1. Registering your booking details.
You will find an Activity Application’ form here; Activity Application Form V2.1
You must complete this form to register your booking so, please print this out and fill it in and scan and email it back to me or, post it to me at PO Box 138 Morningside Q4170. If you post the form, please do so at least 10 working days before the trip to ensure it arrives in time for planning the activity.
It is important that you disclose any preexisting medical condition that you have. Also please put a phone number (usually a mobile) that I can call you on, on the day, if there are any weather concerns or delays.
If you are not sure of your fitness for the trip; call me to discuss.
2. Payment.
You can make payment by transferring money to the WorthWild bank account; SUNCORP BSB 484-799 account number 041 656 899. Please note your name in the transaction and forward your payment confirmation slip by email. Payment is required in confirmation of your booking; please make the transfer at least 10 working days before the trip so that it is in our bank by the Wednesday prior to the trip.
3. Cancellations.
You may cancel your booking before the end of day Wednesday prior to the trip by calling 0413 157 358. We do not accept email cancellations. Otherwise, payment is non refundable. Notwithstanding, if for some reason can’t come on the day you may be given a credit transfer to another day. Either way, call me as soon as you can should you not be able to attend.
4. Weather.
If the weather forecast is unfavorable and I decide to cancel the trip I will contact you as soon as the decision is made. If you are uncertain as to the weather conditions please just give me a call. Please bear in mind that a decision regarding the weather might only be made early in the morning on the day; not prior and will be based on weather conditions at the site of the walk; not those in Brisbane.
5. Transport.
Transport is not an automatic inclusion to the trip. However, you are most welcome to car pool with me in the Land Rover. I can take 6 people plus myself otherwise, you may drive yourself, or pool with others in the group. Spaces are allocated on a first in basis. Once the Rover is full you may need to drive your own vehicle and/or to car pool with others. Call me to discuss your transport requirements.
6. Equipment List.
The following list is the minimum that you need to bring on an adventure;
• Water (capability to carry 2 liters)
• Food for the day - light weight/high nutrition
• Appropriate walking shoes - with ankle support if you are prone to rolling an ankle otherwise, if you are used to walking then joggers may do just fine but please no new boots and no ‘open’ shoes
• I recommend that you wear long sleeves and trousers, but if it is your preference, short trousers are OK. However, please dress for the anticipated weather on the day
• Warm jumper - it's always a little cooler in the mountains
• Raincoat
• Hat, sunscreen
• Torch
