Kangaroo Point Abseiling Information

Where to meet

We will meet you at the top of the cliffs at Kangaroo Point on River Terrace opposite Llewellyn Street, at the round stone lookout building at the top of the cliffs.  If you have difficulty locating us just give me a call on the mobile; 0413 157 358.  Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to complete your activity sign on.

What to bring

We provide all activity equipment. You don’t need to wear any special clothing for abseiling, just comfortable clothes that suit the weather on the day.  Be sure to wear sturdy footwear - runners or hiking shoes are good.  Also, bring plenty of drinking water, your camera, a hat, sunglasses and sun protection.

What to expect on the day

We will give you a comprehensive safety brief and equipment familiarisation before you approach the cliff. Our instructors are skilled in working with beginners so, if this is your first time, let us look after you; you'll have great fun!!  We will start on the lower slopes (called the 'nursery' slopes) for you to get used to abseiling and to the equipment. Once you have had a couple of goes there we will move to the main cliffs for your to have as many goes as you like before the sessions ends.

The weather

Light rain or patchy weather is acceptable and does not mean that we will cancel your adventure, but ‘set-in’ rain, extreme heat or high winds may necessitate that we re-schedule.  If the weather is patchy, please call me.  I will contact you if the activity is cancelled otherwise please just turn up at the scheduled time.
